00/hrSalary Commensurate Upon Education and ExperienceThis person performs labor and technical work in the operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and in the maintenance and repair of Wastewater Treatment equipment.
RequirementsHave some knowledge of the operating principles, practices, and the maintenance requirements of wastewater treatment equipment and machinery.
Have general knowledge of the functions of wastewater treatment plant equipment.
Have ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Graduation from high school or GED.Ability to obtain Class \”D\” within 1 year.
Have general knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions associated with wastewater plant activities.
Ability to understand and follow specified operating and recording procedures.
Ability to recognize breakdowns in wastewater treatment plan equip- ment.
Ability to maintain routine records.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relation- ships as necessitated by work assignments.
Physical strength and endurance to perform technical and/ or manual labor for extended periods of time, possibly under adverse weather or working conditions-ablity to lift or exert forces equivalent to lifting up to 75-100 lbs. regularly.
Valid Texas Driver\’s License with good driving record.
