TEKsystems' customer has an upcoming need for a Computer Operator.
The Operations team is responsible for systems monitoring and first-level technical support in a 24x7x365 environment consisting of Mainframe and Open Systems.
The customer is embarking on a large enterprise-wide initiative which will be increasing the workload of the team so additional staff will be required.
Duties could include, but will not be limited to: Providing nightly support at the Disaster Recovery Center.
Maintaining physical security of the computer systems.
Monitoring nightly batch jobs and tape backups.
Performing system reboots.
Placing and overseeing of service calls.
Executing scripts needed for nightly backups.
Documenting all nightly production issues.
Participating in Disaster Recovery exercises.
