Graphic Packaging Intl., located in Elk Grove Village, IL a leader in the packaging industry, has an immediate opening for a skilled maintenance electrician with a strong electrical background at our manufacturing complex.To meet the demands of higher volume, the company has recently invested money to improve work flow and installed new equipment.The complex runs on a continuous operation (24/7) schedule.
The successful candidate will train on days and transition to the off shift.
The work schedule is 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on. The schedule repeats itself every two weeks.
In a two week period, you would be scheduled to work 7 days instead of ten days.You must have the following qualifications: – Willing to work OT and any shift;- Possess strong electrical knowledge and have the ability to troubleshoot electrical problems on manufacturing equipment;- Have experience in high speed production machines, air compressors, gear boxes, motors, pumps, and conveyor systems and/or similar military experience with similar equipment) power plant, etc.);- Have a minimum of 5 years hands on experience in servicing & repairing rotary machinery such as commercial printing presses, cutting, and gluing machines;- Five years experience in troubleshooting and repairing programmable controllers (PLC experience a plus), relay control logic and motor controls;- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics;- Must have their own tools;- Must possess strong interpersonal skills;- Computer literate (SAP a strong plus);- Experience in multi craft & the folding carton industry a strong plus.You should be prepared to discuss in detail the systems you worked on and be able to share in detail when you troubleshooted a system, your most complex system, strengths/improvement areas.In return for you talents and experience, we offer a very competitive compensation and benefits package including an excellent 401k match.If you are interested in working for an excellent company with a strong future, please email or fax your resume with salary history (required for consideration) to: email: paul.migala [at] graphipkg [dot] com fax: 847-787-5736No phone calls accepted!!
