Internship opportunities are available in each of the following functional areas: Global Enterprise Systems (GES) Provide enterprise-wide technology solutions to The McGraw-Hill Companies' corporate functional areas, which in turn support our business segments.

Our organization comprises three key business programs: Financial Technology Systems (FTS), which provides application solutions for global finance; Human Resource Systems (HRS), which provides application solutions for human resources; Corporate Systems, providing technology solutions for all other corporate business units.

Additionally, a shared service exists to support project management, architecture and PMO needs for the group.

GES supports over 100 applications · Risk Management/Security Located in Hightstown, New Jersey but may require travel to New York City.

Work on initiatives related to developing a Risk Issues, Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) of vulnerabilities and threats to The McGraw-Hill Companies as well as work with the IM Risk Management Group to create a RDBMS using Microsoft Access, SQL or Oracle.

Includes working with the IM Risk Management and Corporate Communications Group to help develop Security Awareness training program for The McGraw-Hill Companies employees.

Corporate Enterprise Architecture Responsible for setting technology standards across the enterprise and align technologies to meet those needs.

The primary focus of this year is to facilitate the Enterprise Architecture Program maturity by leveraging IBM / Telelogic System Architect functionality and McGraw-Hill enhancements.

Border Area Networking (BAN) Responsible for securing the corporations network perimeter globally which includes securing product delivery channels such as web hosting and extranets.

· Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) Generates a consistent approach and language to project management and develops a community of skilled project managers who share tools, techniques and knowledge.

The EPMO's primary function is to support and monitor the Corporate and Segment projects and application portfolios to determine that projects selected for execution are consistent with the company's portfolio goals and strategy.

The First Marblehead Corporation is looking for an experienced statistician / mathematician to work in the Credit Risk Management Department.  The successful candidate will be expected to translate knowledge of financial theory or sophisticated advanced mathematical or statistical analytics that will deliver business results.   This person must be adept at converting data into actionable knowledge to support new approaches to risk management and to achieve significant improvements to loss prevention, loan growth and profitability optimization.   Your experience in the credit card, banking, mortgage or auto loan industries will be valuable in this position.   Job Responsibilities:Develop predictive models using regression analysis and data mining techniques to predict the risk of default, prevent fraud and improve business strategies Use quantitative methods to analyze data. Detect and fix data problems and ensure data integrity Evaluate and monitor quality of the models and their impact on business profitability. Assist in implementation of statistical models in production environment Design, plan, and coordinate analytical work.
