Device Engineer, Cell Processing Closed Systems

This is an outstanding opportunity for a top Device Engineer responsible for developing novel automated cell processing closed system devices. You will be responsible for engineering and transitioning a manufacturing process to an automated, closed, sterile device-executed system. Other responsibilities include executing DFMEA and PFMEA approaches to risk and failure mode analysis; interacting with contract manufacturers of key reagents and supplies; Developing and engineering delivery devices and supporting software & hardware; Integrating software and hardware controls into the design and prototypes of the processing system.

Desired Skills and Experiences:

~ BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related Engineering field.
~ 5+ years medical device product development experience. Experience working with cell processing closed system devices a plus!
~ Strong familiarity with CFR 820, CFR 210, ISO 13485 and FMEA regulations.
~ Software experience with SolidWorks, CAD, ABC Flow Chart, Sigma Stat and DOE Wisdom.
~ Hands-on experience in the coordination and advancement of OEM and development activities at multiple sites throughout the US.
~ Willingness to travel to 15-20% to contract manufacturing/process development sites.
~ Great personality and excellent communication skills!
