ABSG Consulting Inc. is seeking safety basis analysts for long-term support to the Idaho National Laboratory.   Responsibilities will include developing and managing nuclear facility document safety analyses (DSAs) and technical safety requirements (TSRs) updates, revisions, or creation in accordance with 10CFR830 and DOE STD-3009; performing detailed nuclear facility safety analyses, including accident and hazard analysis, and documents those analyses in accordance with company quality standards; reviewing procedures, operational events, and facility modifications; and executing unreviewed safety question (USQ) process for proposed facility and procedure changes and new information. The candidate must work independently with limited direction to solve complex technical nuclear safety issues.  Must establish objectives, set priorities and advise management of nuclear safety issues.  Must develop and maintain effective interfaces with plant systems and experiments engineers, facility operations, supporting organization, company Facility Safety Engineering organization, subcontractor personnel, and DOE oversight personnel.  Responsible for technical approach, product quality, and timely completion of safety analysis projects.  Provide expert technical reviews of nuclear safety documents.      Requirements:   At least a BS degree and 4 years experience or an MS and 2 years experience.   Seven (7) or more years of experience is preferred.   BS or MS in physics, nuclear, mechanical or environmental engineering preferred. Experience in a broad range of analytical methods used in developing safety analyses and risk assessment; knowledge of Department of Energy nuclear safety and unreviewed safety question guides and standards preferred.  Must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to qualify for a DOE “L” clearance and meet the requirement of US Citizenship.
