Patient Registration, Scheduling Systems3.
Physician Order Entry Systems (CareCast, CEMR, Wellsoft ED System) Responsibilities may include: The candidate will be a member of the PCS product team and will have primary responsibilities including: SQL / Sybase or Enscribe coding support for Patient Care System’s clinical applications including Centricity Enterprise and Wellsoft/ED applications.
Research & analysis of data sources and data models for the 661, 662 and future versions of the GE CE software and other EMR products used within the medical center.
Analysis of the semantics and business rules for current and future interoperability.
Knowledge of the concepts of transaction management including record locking and relational models, including normalization, de-normalization, and referential integrity.
Document source system data and draft specifications Understand the advantages and uses of metadata and naming conventions for database tables and application dictionaries.
Knowledge of implementation of QA requirements and SDLC methods.
Knowledge of rules enginesKnowledge of Master Patient Identifiers to ensure data integrity.
Other responsibilities may also include: Changing screens as per specificationsAnalyze and record patient flow in user areasCreate specifications for various changesExecute test planDesign and change other system components as per specificationsDesign and implement various interfaces BA/BS or Certificate in Information Management or Computer SystemsMA in Information Systems is a plus.
Knowledge of the HealthCare field or direct clinical experience is a plus.
Experience in a structured (ie Cobol) or open source programming language (ie Java).
