Position ID: 22395Position Title: Managing Attorney – Construction Bodily Injury Min Education Desired: Other Travel Percentage: 10-25% Relocation: No Job Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a new office in Downtown Chicago that will handle Construction Bodily Injury cases.

This leader will be responsible for handling an active caseload of complex trial work and a variety of moderately complex assigned legal projects.

Exhibits team selection and development skills, recruiting and retaining highly skilled and customer focused professionals.

Duties include implementation of case management skills including accurate evaluation of the litigation file including discovery, deposition skills, effective selection and use of experts, thorough witness/client preparation, motion practice, trial readiness, compliance with files handling guidelines, and file expense.

Utilizes case trial settlement skills including evaluation and facilitation of negotiation techniques, evaluation of courtroom ability and monitoring and reporting of high exposure cases.

Job Qualifications: JD or LLB required Member in good standing of Illinois bar8 10 years insurance defense litigation experience in current and/or recent role, which includes Construction Bodily Injury experience 5 or more years office management experience First chair insurance defense trial experience neededWorking knowledge of Staff Legal systems and PC software.
