Req 241289 General Summary Prevents loss or injury to United Defense or Government property, personnel, or visitors by deterring, detecting and reporting physical threats to the operations. Controls entrance and exit points. Responds to and reports fires, spills and medical emergencies. Alerts personnel to impending danger from severe weather, bomb threats or other hazards. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Greets and assists employees and visitors. Provides them with the appropriate information relative to requirements for entering and exiting the plant. May direct them to desired areas. 2. Utilizing established entry control procedures, detects the presence of threats to personnel and property through direct observation and/or electronic detection equipment of all persons entering and exiting the facility. 3. As appropriate, intervenes to safeguard personnel from injury and danger. Provides assistance as necessary to injured or sick personnel. 4. Requests assistance from the Physical Security Supervisor (PSS) when an employee or a visitor becomes belligerent, demanding or troublesome. 5.
