Computer Support Technician Full Time Dynamic, self-motivated, experienced professional for the position of Computer Support Technician.

In this position, the Computer Support Technician will be responsible for set-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of library computer and audio-visual equipment in all locations.

Train staff and public in use of library technology.

Assists with network support and planning, and maintains network hardware and software documentation.

This is a provisional Civil Service position.

A Civil Service examination will be required before permanent appointment in accordance with Civil Service laws and rules.

COMPTIA A+ Computer Technician Certification preferred.

Performs a variety of CT procedures under the clinical direction of a Radiologist. The technologist operates the CT equipment which produces cross sectional images on specified body areas.

Qualifications

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

Registered with American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in all aspects of their job within 6 months.

Desired:

1-2 years experience in Radiology with previous experience working in CT Scan.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

The employee should be registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography but preferable in CT. BLS required.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Must exhibit excellent communication skills because this position requires frequent verbal and written communications with: physicians, patients, visitors, departmental staff and nursing staff. The employee obtains, presents and discusses clinical information regarding job responsibilities on a routine basis. Candidate must be able to explain or give directions in order to maintain goodwill, and obtain cooperation with all contacts. Must possess the ability to function independently and under pressure while still actively participating in a team environment. Position requires the employee to exhibit excellent customer service skills at all times.
