POSITION OVERVIEWThis is a summer internship position charged with support of the electrical hardware portions of the Fire Alarm products.

Possesses technical understanding of electrical design principals.

Location: Westminster, MARoles & Responsibilities- Learn the development processes of the Hardware Engineering Group.

- Learn and use schematic capture CAD and create schematics according to engineering standards and guidelines.

- Become familiar with Lab test equipment used to debug prototype modules.

This will include oscilloscopes, meters, logic analyzers, frequency generators, variacs, etc.- Become familiar with documentation requirements needed to effectively produce a module or sub-assembly within the Tyco Safety Products manufacturing environment.

- Work within a team environment that includes Hardware Design and Packaging Engineers as well as Draftsmen and Technicians.

- Work on analog and digital design and analysis.

- Work on microcontroller and embedded system design.
