Staff RN Job in Saint Louis 63101, Missouri US

Provide direct patient care for assigned patients and assist in the care of other patients as needed.

Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures.

Assess patients’ response to dialysis therapy and make appropriate adjustments and modifications to the treatment plan as indicated or directed by the supervisor or as prescribed by the Physician.

Assess patient pre, interim, and post dialysis and document findings.

Administer medications as ordered to assigned patients.

Responsible for assessing educational needs of patient and educating the patient and family regarding end stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet and medications.

Current appropriate RN licensure.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Successful completion of a training course in theory and practice of hemodialysis.

Successful completion of CPR Certification.

Minimum of one-year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.

Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.ICU experience preferred.

Ability to assist in lifting patients and equipment.

Ability to provide coverage at area facilities during times of short staffing or as required.

Home Dialysis Training RN Job in Terre Haute 47801, Indiana US

Assist Home Training Supervisor or DON, in the identification, evaluation, and training of candidates for the home dialysis program.  Responsible for accurate documentation of information related to the patients training and treatment.  Ensure that the information is documented appropriately in the individual patient record and entered into the Proton System.  Responsible for ongoing monitoring, assessment and intervention for home patients including: home visits, clinical appointments, additional training sessions or reviews, lab studies and annual studies such as x-ray and EKG.  Responsible for compliance with patient supply procedures, appropriate documentation and ensuring maintenance of all durable medical equipment, i.e., preventative maintenance, water analysis.  Perform monthly chart audits and report results to supervisor.  Monitor the Peritonitis Rate and PET Test results.  Report the outcomes to the attending physician(s) and the Quality Assurance Committee.  Under the direction of the Home Training Supervisor or DON responsible for making changes in patient treatment plans in conjunction with the physician.  Responsible for scheduling back-up treatment when necessary in Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.).Current appropriate state licensure. Minimum of one-year Hemodialysis experience. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred. Successfully complete CPR Certification and maintain annually.
