Will work with development teams and system/application architects to participate in and provide technical guidance surrounding any development projects involving or integrating with the databases.Job Title: Database ArchitectResponsibilitiesDesign and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assetsDevelop and coordinate with the appropriate personnel on the data recovery and backup procedures for the database.

Lead design and implementation for complex database solutions (Oracle or SQL Server) including but not limited to data storage, platform architecture and data replication.

Lead initiatives to create or redesign data modals (physical and logical) for performance and consistent with industry best practices.

Perform detail design on the data specifications so that the physical data model supports the business rules and data normalizationWork with application development staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.

Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues.

Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.

Stay current on technologies, technology trends and directions, and best practices.

Evaluate potential technologies for use within the enterprise.

Provide database related technical and design decisions, technical guidance and participate in design sessions with cross functional teams.

Follow up on issues in an efficient manner, including working hand in hand with technical and functional teamsRegularly communicate progress, issues, and risks to management.
