Overview: Position is responsible for new, continuing and graduated student(s) accounts.

Provide students with customer-oriented assistance in handling their accounting responsibilities (needs).

Compliment the financial aid/admissions/education departments through consistent and effective communication.

The Student Accounts Coordinator must be aggressive, organized and detailed oriented.

Essential Functions/Primary Duties Accounts Payable • Processing full cycle accounts payableCash Receipts/Posting Payments • Generate a receipt for each payment received.

• Enter all payments to the student account record • Post payments when all monies received are verified • Create a daily batch sheet to include all payments received Monthly billing/Agency billing • Mail statements on the 5th of every month • Send bills out according to agency guidelines Additional Duties• Assist with month-end closing process • Research credit balances on student ledgers • Process monthly drop calculations on out permanent students • Meet with new students during the FA process to insure students understanding of out-of-pocket expense • Other duties and special projects as assignedQualifications: Minimum Requirements: • Associate’s degree, preferably in accounting or related business field from an accredited university or college; with 2+ years experience in proprietary school collections.
