Position Description: Scientific Research Corporation, a leading Research and Development Company providing innovative solutions focused on advanced commercial technologies in the development of wireless communications, information, and sensor systems for Government and Commercial industries, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer, located in our Fort Monmouth location.
Primary Duties:
Interface with Government sponsors on a daily basis
Proactively investigate leading edge technologies that either provide or improve networking capability for the Army
Development of System architecture needed to plan and develop integrated solutions based on commercial and military components, which are then tested and deployed to the Army according to certain criteria
Development of system and software test plans needed to effectively demonstrate and deploy the technology for the Army
Demonstrate technical expertise in a number of areas that include military/tactical radio systems, wireless 802.
x commercial waveforms, UMTS cellular bands as well as shorter range protocols ie Zigby or Bluetooth is used for evaluation of commercial off the shelf of military technology that may benefit Army networksScientific Research Corporation offers a competitive salary, an extensive benefits package and a work environment that encourages excellence.

Understating of the software development process (requirements specification, design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, etc.)
Proficient software development with C++, Java, C and Perl languages and web related technologies such as EJB may be required to support government program needs
Understanding software development tools and IDEs for Windows and Linux such as eclipse, Netbeans, and JBuilder and code generation tools such as Hibernate.
BS in CS/EE/CE, Physics, MS a plus
8+ years related experienceDesired skills and experience:
Experience with government customers a plus
Exceptional technical and communication skills
Technical report writing experience
