We are looking for a Sr. Administrative Assistant on behalf of our client, Biogen Idec.
This position is based in Wellesley, MA. Summary An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Medical Director's Office of Global Medical Affairs in our Wellesley Office.
Candidates must have exceptional communication skills, be flexible and possess the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities Type letters, reports and other correspondence as required; coordinate and implement special projects; maintain confidential files; attend staff meetings, take and distribute minutes and follow up on action items Arrange some travel, expenses, and presentations/reports before business trips and meetings.
Print out e-mails, calendars, reports at team's or manager's discretion Provide telephone coverage for the office as needed Coordinate meetings internally and externally Make travel and lodging arrangements as required Maintain team's and managers' calendar and daily schedules for immediate group members Communicate with managers outside the department and across functions and other business units May communicate with outside customers and vendors Perform other related duties as required Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
Demonstrated proficiency in Lotus Notes calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel coordination.
High level of proficiency with the MS Office Suite – Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Ability to prioritize workload, to meet deadlines and to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy.
Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness.
Ability to take initiative and work well under pressure.
Flexibility to work independently and as a team player.
Education HS Diploma.
