An industry leader, located in downtown Atlanta, is looking to add an Accounts Receivable Clerk to their Accounting Department.

Job Responsibilities: Post receipts from lockbox and daily bank depositsPost payments from customers received as cash, checks and credit card transactionsResearch deductions (authorized or unauthorized) and/or short-pays received.

Assist with collection activity when necessary, including calling customers, looking at payment history and credit terms, and making any necessary adjustments that are determined.

Monthly reporting and assist with special projects Job Requirements: 2+ years experience processing accounts receivableExperience in collections a plus, but not requiredIntermediate skill level in MS Office SuiteMust be detail-oriented and a confident communicator with a customer service approach

Accounts Receivable Clerk Job in Atlanta, Georgia US

Exciting ongoing opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk with at least 2+ years of processing A/R in multiple office environments.

This position is in Northwest Houston and any experience with Accounts Payable, Payroll or Credit and Collections a plus.

Position requires a self-starter who works well under pressure, must have solid computer skills with working knowledge of Excel and MS Word, and any experience with a variety of other accounting software a plus! Responsible for posting payments to outstanding accounts, balancing and verifying correct payment applications, researching and resolving unidentified payments, researching and applying incoming wire transfers to correct accounts, and maintaining various spreadsheets supporting cash entries.
