CIT Group is in need of an Asset Recovery Specialist for our Small Business Lending group.
The successful candidate will: * Manage portfolio of defaulted SBA guaranteed loans and conventional loans * Negotiate debt restructure terms * Prepare approval documents * Review legal and closing documents Responsibilities include accurate assessment of accrual status, write down recommendations and asset carrying value recommendations.
Will interface with CIT’s legal department and outside counsel on litigation matters.
Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related preferred.
* Candidate must exhibit strong organization and communication skills.
* 3+ years of experience in workout and restructuring of commercial loans is required.
Small Business Lending experience preferred.
* Underwriting experience a plus.
* Strong investigative mindset and ability to obtain critical information directly from business owners or loan recipients.
