QUALITY ASSURANCE

Candidate will be responsible for assisting the QA Manager with quality planning inspection, method development, and defect prevention/corrective action processes for new and existing products as well as serve as a team member on Trauma Development projects and conduct quality system audits and assessment of internal manufacturing cells and supplier manufacturing sites as necessary. This individual will identify and recommend production and process issues, perform employee certifications, support various operation/manufacturing groups and suppliers in resolving and/or preventing quality issues.
In addition, a large part of the candidate’s responsibility will involve CAPA administration. This individual will be expected to participate in the implementation of the CAPA software solutions program and Administer CAPA. This will involve administrative duties including the monitoring of information relative to problem statements, root cause analysis, corrections, corrective and preventative actions. Candidate will provide communication to responsible individuals for timely completion and documentation of activities and serve as resident expert in CAPA regulatory/compliance. Further, this candidate will monitor the effectiveness of the CAPA system, and coordinate all needed training for users of the CAPA system.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an alternative Bachelor’s degree in the physical sciences.
2-5 years experience in a Quality Engineering field. Familiarity with good Manufacturing Practices and QSR/ISO regulations and good understanding of modern quality control/assurance techniques such as, inspection methods, statistical sampling plans, corrective/preventative action plans, first article layout, gauging concepts, FMEA, validation, and SPC. Expert knowledge an ability in blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and a good understanding of machine and manufacturing processes and capabilities.

Processes credit card applications using various tools including credit reports, internal sources and 3rd party verification resources. Sells balance transfers to qualifying applicants. Handles inbound calls from applicants/cardholders and makes outbound calls for the verification process. Refers requests which exceed assigned credit authority to senior staff along with recommendations. Works as a team player to ensure that individual and team service quality, productivity and sales standards are achieved. POSITION PURPOSE – Assistant Store Managers are responsible for the complete operation of designated areas. They work with the Store Manager, Department Heads, Associates, Installers, and Vendors to drive sales, ensure high levels of customer service, and solve complex problems. Assistant Store Managers act as role models of professionalism, ethical behavior, and effective decision making at all times.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
CUSTOMER SERVICE Greeting customers when they enter the store Ensuring customer concerns are solved effectively and promptly. Training Associates to provide quality customer service.
SUPERVISION Delegating tasks and following-up to ensure task completion. Observing and providing feedback on Associate performance. Motivating Associates to perform at a high level. Promoting and encouraging Associate development.
MANAGING THE BUSINESS Maintaining department profitability through research, report analysis, identifying trends, defining problems and developing appropriate responses.
REPORTS Completing reports accurately and on time. Using reports to make decisions and drive sales.
PLANNING Working with Associates, peers, and Store Manager to anticipate problems and plan for upcoming events. Setting objectives and ensuring they are met. Using established procedures to hire Associates, Installers, and others.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Training and developing associates through formal training programs, providing both informal (e.g., on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g., written evaluation) job performance-based feedback, delegating and follow-up (i.e., operational control). Communicating and working with all operational areas within The Home Depot.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Attending Product Knowledge training. Shopping and studying competition to identify trends and develop new ideas. Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Nature and Scope – Reports directly to Store Manager.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS – Interior floors near entrances and exits may become slippery during wet weather conditions. An Assistant Store Manager may have to handle merchandise. Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the receiving area, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing an uneven walking surface. The receiving area can be dusty and noisy.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS – Most all of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must pass the Background Check.
Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.
Ability to work a flexible, 55 hours per week schedule.
